College Board Opportunity Scholarships - ongoing

CFNC Scholarship Opportunities ongoing

1 - Morehead-Cain Scholarship @ UNC CH  

  • Interested students were contacted in grade 11 and each school has made their nominations. However, students may self-endorse and I would recommend you do that if you are a competitive applicant for UNC. Your application will be due October 1.

8- AES Scholarship

  • $500

  • Must submit an essay

13 - Army ROTC scholarship

Requirements to be eligible for an ROTC scholarship.

  • Be a U.S. citizen.

  • Be at least 17 and under 31 in year of commissioning.

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Have an unweighted high school GPA of at least 2.50 if you’re in high school while applying.

  • Have taken the SAT or ACT.

  • Take the Army Fitness Test (AFT).

  • Meet the physical weight and height requirements.

  • Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.

14 - Chris Jackson Computer Science Education Scholarship

  • $5,000

  • Applicants will be required to discuss their interest in pursuing a computer science degree, their career aspirations, and why they think they should receive the award.

15 - ECU HONORS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP  Apply to ECU with a 3.7 or higher GPA by Oct. 15 to receive an invitation to apply to their honors college. Each honors college student will receive a scholarship.

28 - Chick-fil-A Scholars Program

Scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college, vocational, or graduate school programs.

  • Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

31 - Golden Door Scholarship

To receive the Golden Door Scholarship, all applicants must:

  • Be graduating/have graduated from a United States high school (or have earned or will earn a high school equivalency diploma).

  • Reside in one of our regional states:

    • North Carolina

    • South Carolina

    • Georgia

  • Demonstrate high financial need.

  • Have an unweighted high school GPA of 3.2.

  • Be willing to relocate to and enroll full-time in a bachelor’s degree program.

  • Be willing to pursue a major aligned with Golden Door Scholars’ preferred major list.

  • You can not be a current college student.

  • Eligibility for the program will not be limited by race, ethnicity, or national origin.

Greenhouse Scholars Program

  • 3.5 or above GPA required

  • Household income of $70,000 or less

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a legal resident of Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, or North Carolina.

Goodnight Scholars Program

  • For students applying to NC State BY NOVEMBER 1 for a STEM program - This full-ride is accompanied by professional development, amazing activities, travel, service opportunities and mentorship. FIFTY are awarded each year!!

  • You must be a NC resident, apply for early decision, and there is an income cap of $120,000

  • In mid-December, the Goodnight Scholarships office will issue approximately 900 invitations to apply to prospective first-year NC State students who have applied for Fall admission. This invitation gives each student access to the Goodnight Scholars Program online application. The invitation is sent to the email address listed on the student’s general NC State application. The application is accessible via Pack ASSIST.

Wilson College of Textiles Scholarship at NC State

To be eligible for any incoming first-year scholarship (Centennial, Textile Pioneer, NCTF or Prestige), the candidate must:

  • Apply for fall, first-year admission into a baccalaureate program at NC State by the Early Action deadline, November 1.

  • Majority of the scholarships awarded are merit-based awards and a select amount of need-based scholarships are available. Applicants must complete the Free Application For Federal and Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1.
