1 - NC Safari/Allen Raynor Safety Awareness

Applicants are asked to write a 1,200 to 1,500-word essay that describes the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on themselves, their families or their communities, and what they have learned in light of coping with the brain disorder. The grand prize winner receives $5,000, with additional prizes awarded for runners up

4- American Indian Education Fund

The Undergraduate Scholarship service supports educational opportunities for American Indian and Alaska Native students by awarding more than 200 scholarships annually.

11- UHS Athletic Booster Scholarship - UHS only COMING SOON

  • 2.63 weighted (85) GPA cumulative through 7 semesters

  • Active team member in a varsity sport

  • Participant in same varsity sport at least 2 years including senior year

  • Will attend a 4 year university or a 2 year college transfer program

  • Has never withdrawn from a varsity team

13 - Eastern Carolina Medical Center/ Dr. Pankaj K. Vyas 4-year Scholarship for Healthcare - MHS only

The Eastern Carolina Medical Center/Dr. Pankaj K. Vyas Scholarship for Healthcare will award one $3,500 scholarship to a Midway High School student pursuing a career in the healthcare field through post-secondary education at a 4-year college or university

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Plan to pursue a career in the healthcare field at a 4 year college or university

  • Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Demonstrate a financial need

  • Demonstrate qualities that would embody a healthcare professional, including good character, responsibility, hard work, etc. 

  • Application available in Google Classroom or in guidance

13The Eastern Carolina Medical Center/Dr. Pankaj K. Vyas Community College Scholarship - MHS only

The Eastern Carolina Medical Center/Dr. Pankaj K. Vyas Scholarship for Healthcare will award one $1,500 scholarship to a Midway High School student pursuing a career in the healthcare field through post-secondary education at a community college

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Plan to pursue a career in the healthcare field at a community college

  • Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Two male and two female scholarships awarded

  • Must be an active participant in the same varsity sport for at least two years, including senior year

  • Parents must be Booster members

  • 2.63 weighted or higher GPA required

13 - 4H Youth In Action Scholarship

  • Teens aged 14-19 are encouraged to apply to the 4-H Youth in Action Program for the chance to tell their 4-H impact story and win a $5k educational scholarship

13 - Jackson Barefoot Memorial Scholarship - MHS only 

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Dedication to band

  • Leadership Skills

  • Good moral character

  • Deep love of music

  •  $2,000

13 - William Irvin Warren Scholarship - MHS only

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Midway High School Senior

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Two scholarships $40,000 and $20,000

14- Rare Breed Mototcycle Club

  • Be a minority of African American descent, a U.S. Citizen and North Carolina resident.

  • Due at 12 NOON

15 - Clinton Garden Club
A scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded each year to a deserving student who meets the criteria
CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY:
The student must be a United States citizen and have been enrolled in a Clinton High School or a Sampson County High School for the past one (1) year. She/he must show academic promise with a high school GPA of 2.5 or better. The high school record must reflect good citizenship and good moral character.
The candidate must be planning to attend an accredited institution of higher learning and to enroll in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program as a full-time student. A qualifying student is one (1) who intends to major in the study of Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Forestry, Environmental Concerns, Land Management, or allied subjects. Applications can be found in the scholarship google classroom.

15 - Louis and Katie Raynor Scholarship

Slip General Concrete, Inc. will be awarding a graduate of Sampson County Schools for the
2025-2026 school year with a $2,000.00 scholarship.
Applicant Requirements:

 - Majoring in engineering, business, agriculture,
or in a construction field

24 - Phyllis Avery Lane Scholarship - UHS ONLY
Application Rules 
The scholarship is awarded based on the candidate’s character, scholastic records, evidence of intellectual promise, demonstration of ambition, leadership ability, and need for financial assistance. 
1. Applicant must be a senior at Union High School. 
2. Applicant must be in the top 25th percentile of the graduating class. 
3. Applicant must use the official form, completing all parts and providing all needed documents. 
4. Applicant must attend a North Carolina College or University where monies shall be used. 
5. Applicant must be a permanent legal citizen of the United States. The application can be found in the scholarship Google Classroom.

24 - Delta Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma

  • Applicant must be a female who plans to major in education

24- McDonald’s Black & Positively Golden Scholarship Program

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and McDonald’s are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Sixty-Three (63) scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship up to $15,000 for the 2024-2025 academic school year ($7,000 per semester), which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior attending HBCU during the 2024-2025 academic school year.

  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher.

  • Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.

  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

4/24 - TMCF | Enterprise Access HBCC Scholarship

  • Be a full-time enrolled student at a TMCF HBCC member school during the 2026-2027 academic year

  • Open to all majors

  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher

  • Must have the 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection

  • Must be able to demonstrate a financial need

  • Be a U.S. citizen

25 - Fayetteville State University and Fay Tech S8 Program

Applicant must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen

  • Demonstrate financial need (must complete FAFSA)

  • Have a minimum high school GPA of 2.75

  • Enroll full-time or part-time at FSU or FTCC starting Fall 2025

  • Pursue an Associate Degree in Science (FTCC) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Materials Science (FSU)

  • Commit to participating in FSU S8 Program activities

30 - Mack D. Foundation Breathe New Life Scholarship - MHS only
