Third graders turned into waiters and waitresses as they counted equal groups to find the total number of Fruit Loops they needed to fulfill the orders.




Safety is a priority of Clement Elementary School. Our Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 3rd Grade students participated in a Fire Safety briefing with the local Fire Department. We are, "Building the Future".



Clement Elementary School's Grade Level and Department Chairs take on the AIM Convention in Raleigh, NC. One of our Domains of Progress, aligned to our School Improvement Plan, is Teacher Capacity . Great teachers produce great students! We know our teachers will come back with valuable perspectives to benefit our students. We are "Building the Future".

Please join us as community pastors and students pray for our school. All are welcome to meet us around the flag pole at the front of Clement Elementary on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 7am.

Students in grades four and five nominated their classmates to serve as student leaders. Ten students campaigned in the gym, soliciting votes from their peers. Today, the entire student body will cast their vote, electing our first SGA President, Vice-President, and two secretaries. We are "Building the Future!"



On 9/11, our second grade students created memorial ribbons to remember lives lost and to honor the bravery of the armed forces. We are "Building the Future!"

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
Clement Elementary School recognizes, values, and provides a relevant education to out Hispanic students. This month, we will celebrate Hispanic Heritage and their contributions to society by participating in a Spirit Week, September 30-October 4, 2024. Flyers were sent home for your consideration, and we are hopeful for your student's participation.



This week, we began our "Word of the Week" announcements. The word we studied was, FEAST. Students submitted sentences using this word. Ms. Jeslyn was selected to read her sentence during morning announcements.

Day 3's Fact about Title One Night is Below:
We hope to see you on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 6:30pm.

This year, our 2nd Grade students are participating in a Read Aloud project in addition to their NC Course of Study. Recently they completed their first chapter book, Horrible Harry. A writing exercise was given to students where they reflected on the story, by providing details and characteristics that the main character, Harry, had. Students used their comprehension skills to recall the story and ask and answer questions.

Last year's achievement prepared your students for their current grade; however, there is MUCH WORK to be done! Come find out what the end of year expectation will be.

Over the next few days, we will conduct Emergency Drills at Clement Elementary. Please do not be alarmed; these are practice drills to prepare our students in case of an emergency. Thanks for helping us "Build the Future".

Title One Night is September 10, 2024 @ 6:30pm!

Our teachers will explain the use of an existing ELA curriculum, and a new Math (I-Ready) curriculum.

Title One night is approaching and we're "Beginning with the End in Mind". Please joins us as we share our plans for the 2024-2025 school year, while also answering the question: "What should my student be able to do by the end of the school year?"
There will be twenty minute rotations when they can visit teachers and view the classroom.
