Soccer Tryouts - Update. The weather was not cooperative last week - so here are the new tryout dates for soccer this week!

You see these boxes? These boxes are waiting to be FILLED with tissues and band-aids because our TISSUES and BAND-AID competition begins TOMORROW! 6th grade versus 7th grade versus 8th grade...... who can bring in the MOST! There will be grade level boxes at the bus entry and the carpool entry. Put them in the boxes. The items will be counted at the end of the day tomorrow and be sure to check our Facebook page or Class Dojo for an update on which grade level is ahead! Gather up the band-aids and Tissues! Whether you are in carpool or unload at buses - you can toss them in your grade level bin! You have the first 5 days.... Who will win ~ 6th grade? 7th grade? 8th grade? If you do - sit wherever you want to at lunch on the last Friday of August! Ready! Set! TISSUES and BAND-AID Competition starts in . . . . 5 days!

Midway Middle School Named National Beta School of Distinction
Midway Middle School is proud to announce that it is a 2025-2026 National Beta School of Distinction. The school earned this recognition by increasing their club’s membership by at least 10% from last year.
National Beta School of Distinction is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction Award is designed to reward those schools that show an increase in membership for the current school year. This year, only 2,959 clubs across the country received this award.
In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “This national award speaks highly of your commitment to academic excellence and illustrates your dedication to preparing students for their future.”
School chapters will receive a National Beta School of Distinction banner to proudly display as a symbol of their accomplishment.
With more than 500,000 active members and 1 ,000 clubs nationally and internationally, National Beta has become the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization. National Beta recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to school and community, and fosters leadership skills.
