Sampson County Schools is pleased to announce Mrs. Alicia Leach as the principal of Salemburg Elementary School.
Mrs. Leach brings 22 years of experience in education. She began her career with Sampson County Schools as the assistant principal of Hobbton Middle School. Most recently, she served as the assistant principal of Lakewood High School while also serving as the Community Schools Liaison for the Lakewood District and as a college instructor.
Mrs. Leach earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theatre Arts with a minor in English from Fayetteville State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Grand Canyon University, and a Master of School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. She also earned a Post-Master’s Certificate in College Teaching from Capella University.
Mrs. Leach is a proud wife to her husband, Craig, and mother to their son, Eli. The family resides in the Autryville area.
A lifelong advocate for public education, Mrs. Leach believes that strong relationships among schools, families, and the community provide a solid foundation for student success. Her leadership approach focuses on visibility, collaboration, and high expectations to ensure that every child feels valued, supported, and challenged to reach their fullest potential.
