Sampson County Schools is pleased to announce Ms. Becky L. Hines as the Interim Principal of Roseboro-Salemburg Middle School.
Ms. Hines brings nearly 10 years of educational experience to her new role, having served in a variety of instructional and leadership positions across multiple grade levels. She began her career as a Middle Grades Science and Agricultural Education teacher at Contentnea-Savannah K-8 School, where she taught for three years before completing a Principal Residency at LaGrange Elementary School. She went on to serve as Assistant Principal in multiple Sampson County Schools.
A proud graduate of North Carolina State University, Ms. Hines earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education in 2002, with a concentration in Communications and a minor in Agricultural Business. She later returned to NC State to earn her Master of School Administration in 2018 through the NELA Principal Fellows Program.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hines has prioritized relationships, culture, and collaboration as the foundation for student success. “I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families of Roseboro-Salemburg Middle School,” said Ms. Hines. “Together, we will continue to build a culture of learning, collaboration, and pride here where every child grows academically and socially, and every teacher feels empowered to make a difference.”
A lateral entry teacher turned district leader, Ms. Hines has built a reputation for advancing student growth through effective instructional practices, data-informed decision-making, and a shared vision of excellence. A resident of the Roseboro community, she is deeply invested in the success of the Lakewood District’s schools and families. In addition to her educational leadership, Ms. Hines currently serves as President of the Clinton Rotary Club, where she leads community service initiatives and promotes the Rotary mission of "Service Above Self."
