Each year, Union Elementary and Union Intermediate team up to host a pageant at Union High School to choose a "Tiny" Miss Union for grades K-2 and a "Little" Miss Union for grades 3-5. The 2025 winners, Desire Newkirk for UES and Gina Zaldavar Caceres for UIS were crowned in January. They have proudly represented our two schools at community events since then. They will continue to spread Spartan pride for the rest of this the 2025 year and are particularly looking forward to participating in upcoming Christmas parades.
In preparation for next year's pageant, we are calling on all parents who have students who want to participate in our upcoming 2026 Tiny/Little Miss Union pageant to fill out an interest form by November 7th by either downloading it here and returning it to your child's homeroom teacher, or by filling out the online form here for the English version or here for the Spanish version. Once we receive your form of interest, we will send home an application to be filled out and returned with a non-refundable fee of $25 by Friday, November 21st.
There will be a parent meeting on Wednesday, November 12th, to provide more detailed information. For example, all participants will be required to participate in at least 5 mandatory practices leading up to the pageant itself which will be held in the Union High School auditorium on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 2:00. The exact time of the meeting will be announced shortly.
