Parent University
Parent University is a collaborative effort between Sampson County Schools, local non-profit organizations, and community leaders and educators. It is an opportunity for you to engage in interesting and practical courses to increase your confidence and skills needed to support your child's success and effectively navigate the school system. Research shows that students achieve more when families are engaged in their education. Parent University's courses are FREE OF CHARGE and available to any parent or family member in the school district who is interested in learning to be more effective in meeting their child's needs.
Courses offered through Parent University:
Provide resources and training for parents and families to help support children’s academic success.
Allow families to collaborate with schools, community organizations, and the school district to fully participate in their child’s education.
All sessions are offered from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are conducted virtually using Google Meet. Participants can access the meeting using their cellphone, iPad, laptop, or desktop. Meeting details are listed in each session below. Mouse over or click the meeting icon to join the session.
