The MHS Social Studies department has been very busy this semester. The History Club recently travelled to downtown Raleigh, NC to take a short walking tour of the capitol and to visit the Natural Science museum.
The History Club also traveled overnight to Asheville, NC to visit the Biltmore Mansion and take a historic tour of the property. History Club advisor Mrs. Brewer will also be coordinating a really exciting day for Midway students to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States' founding. Midway's America 250 celebration will include a performance by the 82nd Airborne band from Fort Bragg as well as the creation and sealing of a time capsule to be opened in 50 years time.
