SCS Board Announces New Superintendent - After reviewing more than 25 applicants from eight different states, the Sampson County Schools' Board of Education has named Dr. Jamie King the new superintendent of Sampson County Schools.
Dr. King has a career spanning more than 20 years in public education, serving at nearly every level of the education system. He comes to Sampson from Guilford County Schools where he was a regional superintendent.

Summer football workouts begin TODAY and will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday through the month of June. Those interested in playing should plan to attend. Questions may be directed to Coach Sloan at Lakewood High School.
