Several Hobbton High School teachers were recently recognized for their innovative classroom projects after being awarded Bright Ideas grants totaling $9,765. The award recipients were honored by South River EMC during the Bright Ideas Celebration Luncheon held on the campus of NC State University.
This year’s HHS grant winners and their funded projects include:
Johnny Jessup – “Building Skills, Building Futures: Equipping Tomorrow’s Ag Leaders” — $2,500
Tiffany Warwick – “Hands-On Health: Building Tomorrow's Medical Professionals.” — $2,298
Ali Hicks – “Integrating Ducks into Animal Science Curriculum” — $2,500
Anda Barefoot – “Write It!” — $2,467 (not pictured)
These grants will support hands-on, creative, and career-focused learning opportunities for students across multiple disciplines. Congratulations to all of the HHS educators whose dedication and innovation continue to strengthen student learning and engagement.
