MMS Junior Beta Club By-Laws
There have been some recent questions about the Beta Club guidelines. This information has been shared with parents on several occasions. Here it is again if you can not find your copy or do not recall the guidelines.
The attached document is the Sampson County Junior Beta Club By-Laws. These By-Laws were created by a Beta Club committee with representatives from all the middle schools and high schools in Sampson County and the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction. They were approved by the Sampson County board of education and made effective for the 2017 - 2018 school year.
The following changes were made.
- 6th graders are no longer eligible to be inducted into the Beta Club
- A student must have a 93 (non-rounded) overall average in all courses and not fail any course to be inducted into the Beta Club
- A student must maintain a 93 (non-rounded) overall average in all courses and not fail any course to remain in the Beta Club once inducted
All other By-Laws remained the same. Please read the By-Laws to make sure you (or your Beta student) are staying on track. Discipline is also a major component of Beta Club membership.
