Hello

My name is Barbara Kay Peterson, I teach Exceptional Children's (Self-Contained) at Union Middle School. This will be my 22nd year teaching here at Union Middle. I am a native of Garland North Carolina, now residing in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. I graduated from Garland High School in Garland, North Carolina. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Shaw University with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology.  I received my teacher certification in Special Education( Specific Learning Disabilities) from Fayetteville State University. I am the mother of two and the grandmother of six. I love children and I love teaching. I believe that all students can learn if given the opportunity.
