Welcome to Career & Technical Education (CTE)!

As a Career Development (CDC) and Special Populations Coordinator (SPC) I combine my experience in the business industry and CTE education with helping students achieve their post-secondary career goals.

Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the retail industry for many years as a retail merchandise buyer, import product development manager, and in store management for large national retail store chains.  I lived in Little Rock, AR for a few years, then moved back home to Eastern North Carolina.   It was not until after I married and had children that I discovered my love for teaching.  I was also a preschool director and teacher for several years before making the move to Sampson County Schools and the Union district.  At UHS I was a Family and Consumer Science teacher for many years before moving to my current position as CDC/ SPC.

Go Spartans!
