Hello Spartans! I grew up in Duplin county and I have enjoyed getting to know the Spartan families. I received my bachelors degree from Peace College in Biology and received my teaching license from Mount Olive College. I have a graduate certificate in Cell Science from UNC School of medicine. I recently received my Masters in Biomedical Science from Liberty University. I have a husband of 20 years who coaches sports in the Duplin area. I have two sons, 8 and 13 years old. We love sports throughout the year. My interest are watching my boys and and husband play and coach sports. Also. we love to go to the beach. My teaching style is represented by being fair, but firm. Showing respect in the classroom is key to all to support a positive learning environment. I believe as a science teacher we are aware of the science world around us and to learn from the past, be present and focused on the here and now, and be creative for the future.

I teach both Physical Science and Anatomy and Physiology at UHS. I student taught Chemistry and Physics at Wayne Country Day in Goldsboro. Dr. Smith was my mentor who taught science teachers how to teach science. He was a very creative and innovative mentor. I can't wait for this up coming Spartan Year. Go Spartans!
