Hello! I am Mr. Daughtry, I teach Economics/Personal Finance and AVID 9. I am excited to dive the Fall 2023 Semester.

I obtained a bachelor's of science in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. I started teach last August and this will be a second year as a teacher!

I plan to have a exciting year filled with fun, engaging, and empowering lessons that students can use for years to come.

Economic and Personal Finance

In this course we will learn the importance of Economics and Personal Finance. Students will learn how the economy works like companies and how they run, as well as how to budget their own business and personal finances. They will complete a basic budgeting task and learn how it is to live as a fully-grown adult in the US.

AVID

This course is aimed at directing students to a college-bound path. This will be done by holding tutorials, teaching organizational skills, and developing the learning process with critical thinking skills. We will also be visiting colleges and doing community service and team building exercises to help the student set future goals that they can achieve. Everyone in this class has the same goal that is to attend a four year school.
