ACT Test OVERVIEW:

The ACT test is used by colleges and universities to determine a student's rediness for college when determining whether to admit a student into the school. The test covers four general academic areas: English, mathematics, reading and science reasoning. It is a multiple choice question with a section four each topic and a writing section available for students who wish to take it or colleges that require the writing component. Each section is timed and has set amount of questions.

ACT SECTIONS:

  1. English

    • Time: 45 Minutes

    • Questions: 60

  2. Math

    • Time: 60 Minutes

    • Questions: 60

  3. Reading

    • Time: 35 Minutes

    • Questions: 40

  4. Science

    • Time: 35 Minutes

    • Questions: 40

SAT OVERVIEW:

The SAT test measures a students level of readiness for college and is used by college admissions officers as a common measurement when determining which students to admit. The test is multiple choice with an optional writing section as well. The main sections of the SAT are Math and Evidence based Reading and Writing.

Test Scores:

  • Total Score Range: 400-1600

  • Evidence-based Reading and Writing Section: 200-800

  • Math Section: 200-800
