Hello, my name is Melissa Leak and this will be my sixth year teaching 1st grade at Salemburg Elementary.

I have been married to my husband, Frank, for 32 years . We have three daughters, Eliza 26, Annie 25, and Charlotte 21. We moved to Clinton seven years ago. My husband is a native of Clinton and has always wanted to move back to the eastern part of the state. Before that we were in Winston Salem, NC for 13 years.

I have taught yoga to a wide range of students from toddlers to adults in their eighties. I also taught preschool for several years before making the move to Clinton.

  I have my BFA in Painting from UNC-G and my Masters in Teaching from UNCW.
