Hello there! My name is Ms. Bednar and I’m so excited to be working with your child this year in Kindergarten! I’m passionate about helping these students set a foundation for their future inside and outside of school. I emphasize authentic, hands-on, discussion-based learning, in addition to differentiating based on the needs of all students. I truly want students to find the joy in education!

I graduated with honors and my Associate of Arts from Sampson Community College before transferring to East Carolina University. I then graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and a K-12 Reading Concentration. I'm licensed in both K-6 Reading & Mathematics and K-12 Reading in NC, and am currently placed in Kindergarten at SES.

In my free time, I enjoy coaching ages 3-18 in competitive cheerleading and singing with my church's Sunday worship bands.

Fun fact: I actually attended Salemburg Elementary School until 4th grade!
