Welcome to World History and Economics and Personal Finance! I am a Sampson County native and am excited to give back to the community I love through sharing my passion of history with students.
I am entering my 5th year of teaching, which will be my 3rd for Sampson County Schools and I am excited to be a part of the amazing staff at SECHS! I grew up loving to learn about history, particularly military history. I've had amazing history teachers in both high school and college, which led me to pursue my teaching certification. In my classroom, it is my desire for students to learn how to become responsible citizens.
I am married and currently, the only "child" we have is our energetic, 2-year old Labradoodle. I am a recipient of the Simple Gifts Teacher Fellowship Grant where I was given the opportunity to travel around Europe, visiting key World War II sites such as Omaha and Utah Beaches in Normandy France, Paris France, London UK, Munich/Dachau Germany and Rome Italy. I am excited to share with students everything I learned from that experience!
