Students will use the North Carolina Essential Standards to explore the following units:

Unit 1: Real Number Systems 

That's right! Just the REAL numbers. 💯

(Some numbers are imaginary. You'll learn about them in high school.)

Unit 2: Solving One Variable Equations and Inequalities

There won't be anywhere for an unknown quantity to hide ever again. 🔍

Unit 3: Transformational Geometry

Time to slide, turn, reflect, grow and shrink all the shapes we know on the coordinate plane. 🔺🔻

Unit 4: Exponents and Scientific Notations 

We are going to use VERY BIG and VERY SMALL numbers accurately and easily.

Unit 5: Functions

Time to bring it all together to see if it's functional or not. 💹

Unit 6: Angle Relationships and Pythagorean Theorem

Geometry is fun and easy, even in GREEK. ♓📐

Unit 7: Systems of Equations

You can solve one equation so now we will solve them two at a time! ❌2️⃣

Unit 8: Statistics

You'll probably enjoy this unit. 😄

Unit 9: Volume

We go beyond rectangular prisms and add some pi and pyramids and cones. 🥫🕯🔵💎
