ABOUT ME
This is my fifth-year teaching math and my second-year teaching in the United States after moving from the beautiful island of Jamaica. This new teaching experience has allowed me to share my cultural background while learning and growing alongside my students.
MY PHILOSOPHY AS A TEACHER
As a teacher, my philosophy is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and educationally.
A teacher plays a vital role in students' lives, and it is my desire to create the type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential.
CURRICULUM
Students will use the NC Essential Standards to explore the following units:
Unit 1: Number Systems and Operations
Unit 2: Algebraic Expressions and Equations
Unit 3: Proportional Reasoning
Unit 4: Probability
Unit 5: Statistics
