Greetings everyone, my name is Keeler Brown and I hail from Brooklyn, New York.  I graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1999, and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in History.  I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College in 2002.  I relocated to North Carolina in 2007 and once settled, I made this my home.  After working in the Human Resources/Payroll field I made the decision to become an educator and entered the teaching profession in 2008.

Upon becoming a teacher, I worked at the high school level teaching the Occupational Course of Study program for 2 years.  In 2010, I transferred to the elementary level where I currently teach.  While teaching, I obtained my second Master’s degree in Special Education from Western Carolina University in 2012.

One of my goals as a teacher is to make an imprint on my students by continuing to empower them with skills that they would use for a lifetime.  As the proud parent of 2 beautiful children, I set expectations for them and as an educator, I set expectations for my students that I hope will be far-reaching.  A child without a dream or a vision is a child that has never been asked to succeed.  When your child enters my classroom, I ask them To Commit to their Learning, To Ask Questions, To Put Forth an Effort, To Dare to Go Above and Beyond and use Their Footsteps to Chart Their Own Pathway for Success. I believe in your child and I hope that you will join me in raising the bar by continuing to encourage them to reach for higher altitudes.
