Hi!  Welcome to my page.  I am a third grade Math and Science teacher. This is my fourth year teaching at PVES.  I graduated from Fayetteville State University in December 2019 and began teaching first grade at Harnett Primary in January.  I finished out the year there and then accepted a position at PVES. 

My philosophy as a teacher is borrowed from philosopher John Dewey, "learn to do by doing". I believe it is important for students to have an active role in their learning by using a hands on approach. I try to have students working in groups, using manipulatives, and integrate technology as much as possible. I believe students can learn more and be more focused when they are enjoying the content and interacting with myself and other students.

I treat all my students the way I would want my own children to be treated.  I am here to support them and help them in any way possible.  My goal is for all students to feel nurtured and loved in my classroom and know that it is a safe space for learning and connecting with friends.  Please feel free to reach out to me whenever you need anything.  You can email, call, or send me a message through the Remind app.
