About Me...

Once a Raider, Always a Raider!  I am a life-long resident of the Midway Community.  I attended Midway Elementary from Kindergarten through 8th grade.  In 2002, I graduated  from Midway High School.  I obtained my B.S. degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Mount Olive in 2006.

Student Support Specialist...

My job is to advocate and support ALL students in the Midway District.  My ultimate goal is to help students stay in school and be successful in life.  I keep a regular check on student grades, attendance, discipline referrals, behavioral and social issues, and emotional states.  I also oversee the following programs at Midway High School...

Alternative Learning Students-. I work with all students from Midway High School and Midway Middle School who have been placed in ALP. ALP is housed on the Old Midway Elementary School Campus. While students are in ALP, my job is to monitor their progress and check in with them weekly to ensure they have all needed work and materials. I work as the liaison between their base school and ALP.

Morning School Tardies and To Class Tardies- I am the TARDY QUEEN! I issue out to school tardies to students who arrive to school late (between 8:00 am and 8:30 am). I notify parents/guardians of tardies and issue Morning School Detention as needed. I also monitor To Class Tardies and notify parents/guardians and administration as needed.

Attendance-If your student begins is absent from school, you will most likely hear from ME! Telephone calls are made after every attendance infraction. Letters to parents/guardians are mailed once a student misses 3 days. If a student becomes chronically absent--misses 6 or more days in one class period--I will set up a conference with the student and parents. For more information on attendance, please read the SCS Handbook.
