I am excited to begin my journey as an art teacher, bringing with me my lifelong passion for the fine arts. Throughout my youth, I was actively involved in chorus, show choir, and various art-related extracurriculars. I attended Sampson Early College High School, where among regular courses, I completed a variety of art courses. As well as performed in numerous productions at the Sampson Community Theatre. After graduating in 2019, I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at William Peace University in Raleigh, graduating on time in 2021 despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the current teaching climate didn't feel like the right fit initially, I remained connected to my community by working as a veterinary assistant at Caring Hands Animal Hospital (Clinton). Among the many valuable skills I developed there, time management and effective communication during high-stress situations were especially important. My experience reaffirmed my desire to pursue a role in education. Following a brief time as the Theatre Arts teacher at Hobbton Middle School, I made the difficult decision to step back due to a family emergency and a desire to strengthen my classroom management skills. Which I successfully put into practice by becoming a substitute teacher for the county.

Now, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Raider family. With a deep-rooted love for all aspects of the arts, I am committed to continuous growth as both an educator and an individual, and am eager to inspire creativity in students!"
