Welcome to Credit Recovery Lab!
I’m excited to be starting my second year in education as a Computer Lab Facilitator and excited to be a Raider this year! I’m also a School Bus Driver here at Midway High School.
Last school year, I was an Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant and School Bus Driver in Johnston County Public Schools.
A proud graduate of Triton High School — Go Hawks! — and Johnston Community College, I’m a native of Dunn, North Carolina, and love serving the wonderful community in various ways.
When I’m not working, I enjoy trying new cultural foods, soaking up the sun at the beach, shopping at the mall, diving into a good book, binge-watching Netflix, and celebrating the holiday season — Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year!
I look forward to connecting with my students and building positive relationships throughout the school year!
Feel Free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I’m available during school hours and happy to help!
Credit Recovery Guidelines
Credit Recovery is designed for students who have previously failed or missed classes and need to regain credits required for graduation. Students will use approved learning platforms such as:
Edmentum
NCVPS (North Carolina Virtual Public School)
Edgenuity
These platforms provide self-paced, standards-aligned content to help students recover credits efficiently.
Expectations and Requirements
1. Course Completion:
Students are required to complete all assigned modules in a timely manner.
Failure to make consistent progress may result in removal from the program.
2. Attendance & Lab Use:
Dedicated computer lab time is provided for credit recovery and must be used solely for academic purposes.
No phones are allowed at any time. If a phone is seen, it will be confiscated and brought to the office.
Students must use the restroom, get water, and take care of personal needs before entering the lab.
Students have multiple opportunities during the day to use the restroom. No hallway access is permitted during lab time.
3. Lab Rules:
Only approved learning platforms may be open. No other tabs, websites, or activities are allowed.
No food or drink is allowed in the lab — only water is permitted.
Students must raise their hand for assistance and wait for help from a teacher or staff member.
Students must follow all school rules and computer lab rules at all times.
4. Behavior & Discipline:
Any misuse of time, technology, or failure to follow lab expectations may result in disciplinary action, including referral for administrative disciplinary consequences.
This is a formal academic setting. Students must remain respectful, focused, and compliant at all times.
Important Reminder:
Credit Recovery is a privilege and a second chance to stay on track for graduation. Take it seriously. There will be no tolerance for distractions, misconduct, or misuse of lab time.
