Midway Elementary School’s library mission is to provide an inviting learning environment, offering services that support teaching, literacy, learning, and independent thinking to students at Midway Elementary.

My name is Charis Shattuck. I am a graduate of Clinton High School in Sampson County, (Class of 2007). Following graduation, I attended Campbell University, where I received my BS in Elementary Education with an add-on licensure in Language Arts (Grades 6-9). I began my teaching career in 2011 at Hargrove Elementary where I taught 4th grade for 4 years. Following a family move, I taught 4th and 5th grade in Warren County Schools for an additional 4 years. In 2018, my family moved to Roxboro, NC where I taught 7th Grade English Language Arts at Roxboro Community School. In December of 2023, my family relocated back "home" to Clinton and I joined the Midway Raider family as Media Coordinator. I LOVE sharing my love of reading with my students and hope to help each child find a book they love.
