Lakewood High School is excited to share that we are in the process of becoming a Purple Star School!

The Purple Star designation is a special recognition awarded to schools that exceed expectations in supporting military-connected students and their families. As we strive for this honor, we are developing systems and programs that demonstrate our commitment to being a military-friendly school community.

Our efforts include:

• Strengthening transition support for students of active-duty, reserve, and veteran families.

• Expanding resources and counseling designed to meet the unique needs of military children.

• Creating schoolwide events and initiatives that honor our nation’s service members and their families.

• Partnering with community organizations and military installations to provide even stronger support.

We are proud to take this step and look forward to celebrating the ways Lakewood continues to grow as a place where every student, including those with military connections, can thrive.
