Students Expectations for ALL of Ms. Kelly’s Classes

MY classroom-MY rules-please do not tell me what other teachers allow or do not allow. They can do what they want in their classroom. I am the teacher and the leader in mine and I am responsible for everyone who is in it. Since I will be the one answering to administration about how I manage my classroom then I am the one who makes the rules. If you are in here I expect you to follow those rules and expectations or a consequence will follow.

For this course EVERYDAY you will need: Laptop and charger, 3-Ring Binder, loose leaf paper, pens/pencils, good attitude and ready to work!

Beginning/during class:

1. When the bell rings and during the class period, sit in your assigned seat.

2. During class discussions, ONLY one person speaks at a time and PLEASE raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged.

3. VERY IMPORTANT! Everyone has a voice and opinion. Conversations in this class are to stay clean and respectful! NO INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE-ALL INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE WILL BE CONFRONTED BY THE TEACHER AND HANDLED APPROPRIATELY.

4. Food items are not allowed in the class unless arranged by the teacher. Water bottles are permitted or drinks with lids.

5. Do not leave the classroom without teacher permission or you will be written up.

6. Hats, sunglasses and all electronic media are not allowed at any time. We ADHERE STRICTLY TO THE HANDBOOK in my class…please do not ask for exceptions…they will not be given.

7. CELL PHONES will be placed in the organizer on the wall. Everyday everyone will place their phones in the organizer …NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

8. Respect yourself, the teacher, and each other!

9. BATHROOM POLICY-Students will not misuse this privilege. Students will be allowed to use the restroom during breaks. DO NOT ASK TO USE THE RESTROOM DURING LECTURE OR GROUP DISCUSSIONS…YOU MUST TAKE A BATHROOM BREAK DURING INDEPENDENT WORK!! Once the tardy bell rings, you are TARDY! Times to leave during class are emergency only…this should not be an every day occurrence! It is a privilege to leave my class for the bathroom not a right!

End of class:

10. Straighten up and clean your work area after each class.

11. All classwork must be turned in at the end of each class or the following day if approved by the teacher.

12. THE BELL DOESN’T DISMISS YOU I DO!
