Hi! My name is Rachael Stump. I teach 8th grade ELA here at Hobbton Middle School. This is my second year teaching, as well as my second year at Hobbton Middle School.

In the 8th grade ELA curriculum, we follow the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and utilize resources such as Amplify, iReady, and CommonLit to help support all students in learning the standards. Our objective is to help students become strong, skilled readers who approach reading critical thinking.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the supplies needed for 8th grade ELA include:

1 3-subject composition notebook

1 3-pronged folder

College Ruled Notebook Paper

Pencils and/or Pens
