My name is Louis Held, returning to the Sampson County School system after 23 years. I will be on the 8th grade team and will be teaching 8th grade math. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Doctor’s degree in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University. I have served as a United States Army officer, as a project engineer at the Lundy Packing Company, and as an educator for 39 years. I have taught all mathematics classes from 3rd thru 12th grade and some university courses. I enjoy middle grades mathematics and Geometry the best.
