Welcome to my classroom!
My name is Ana Ramos, and I am the ESL teacher at Hobbton High School. I am so excited to be back at Hobbton—not as a student this time, but as a teacher. As a proud Hobbton alumna, I attended Hobbton schools from elementary through high school, so returning to serve this community is truly a full-circle moment.
Hobbton has always been home to me. My husband is also a Hobbton alumnus, and our children are proud Wildcats as well. We hope they will one day graduate from Hobbton, continuing our family's Wildcat tradition. Being part of a community that has meant so much to my family is something I treasure.
One of my favorite parts of teaching here is working alongside educators who were once my teachers or who were part of my journey as a student. It is incredibly rewarding to give back to the school and community that helped shape me into the person I am today.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mount Olive in August 2025 and am currently completing my teaching licensure through the UNCW Watson College of Education. This is my second year as a classroom teacher. Before becoming the ESL teacher at Hobbton High School, I spent two years as an instructional assistant at Hobbton Elementary School. Those experiences strengthened my love for education and confirmed my passion for helping students grow in confidence, language, and academic success. During my first year of teaching, I was honored to be recognized as Hobbton High School's Beginning Teacher of the Year, a recognition that reflects my commitment to creating a positive, supportive learning environment for every student.
I believe every student deserves to feel welcomed, supported, and valued. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel safe to learn, take risks, and celebrate their progress. I look forward to partnering with students and families to make this school year a successful and memorable one.
