Hello all! Welcome to my classroom page. I have a long history of teaching, but am on a new adventure this year teaching STEAM to all K-5 students at Salemburg and Clement Elementaries. I began my teaching in the middle school arena for 5 years. Then I switched to 3rd where I had a 16 year run. I switched schools and grade level at that point where I taught 4th grade for 3 years. I gave fifth grade a try for one year and then I was able to move into a position I had wanted for quite a while. I was able to begin teaching STEM (which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) where I have been now for 3 years. Throughout my teaching career I obtained my masters degree from East Carolina University in the area of Instructional Technology.
I love finding ways to incorporate technology throughout my lessons with my students. We find many hands on activities to open their minds to being creative in constructing new things.
