Welcome
Dear Clement Elementary School Community,
I am honored to return to Sampson County as the principal of Clement Elementary School. The rich history and accomplishments of this school inspire me to dedicate myself fully to our community, families, and most importantly, our students.
I grew up in Sampson County, attending Salemburg Elementary School, Roseboro-Salemburg Middle School, and graduating from Lakewood High School. My entire career has been devoted to North Carolina Public Schools, and I cherish the experiences gained along the way.
Education is my passion. As a first-generation college graduate, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Education in Administration, and I am currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership. I hold teaching certification for grades K-6 and principal licensure for K-12, both from North Carolina.
As principal, my focus is on enhancing student achievement through comprehensive support systems that nurture each child academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. Building strong connections with Clement’s staff, families, community, and students is foundational to closing academic gaps and promoting student success. I am committed to personalized instruction that meets the unique needs of every student. My motto is: “Touching Lives and Changing Lives, One Student at a Time.”
I strive for excellence at Clement Elementary School because our students deserve nothing less. Together, let us embrace each new day as an opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Join us in our journey! GO COUGARS!
Sincerely,
John Langley
Principal
