Hi, I'm Mrs. Barnette, and welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We have some wonderful things planned for ELA this year! 

This is my fifth year teaching, and I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2018! I got married two summers ago! ☺️ I am the oldest in my family, I have one sister who graduated from college at Western Carolina University and one brother who is in 11th grade. I love animals, growing up around dogs all my life and now we have added cats into the mix. In my free time, I like to do anything with music. I was in the marching band during my high school and college career, and many different ensembles, like concert band, clarinet studio, and pep band during my time at UNCP. I can play the clarinet, alto sax, and bari sax, but can play many other instruments if I pick them up!
