• Trade and Industrial Education is a secondary education program to prepare students for careers in eight of the sixteen Career Clusters™. While completing course sequences in these Career Clusters™, students participate in instructional units that educate them in standardized industry processes related to concepts, layout, design, materials, production, assembly, quality control, maintenance, troubleshooting, construction, repair, and service of industrial, commercial, and residential goods and products. Where applicable, courses are aligned to industry certifications and/or credentials allowing students the opportunity to prepare for the associated specific certification/credential. Development of 21st century skills including collaboration, critical thinking, entrepreneurialskills, and problem solving is a part of each of the career pathways.
