I began teaching English as a Second Language in 1996 in Duplin County.  A NC native, I have always enjoyed learning more about my own language and other languages.  Although I speak Spanish, French was actually my second language, and I hold a MA in French Language and Literature from NC State University.  The best part of my job is teaching small children to read and write my first language while maintaining an appreciation for their own.  I came to Hobbton Elementary in 2012 and hope to finish out my career here.
