    9/3 - Morehead-Cain Scholarship @ UNC CH  

    • Application available in Google Classroom in the class drive folder. Interested students must complete a preliminary application/essay to be considered for the high school nomination. Each high school can nominate 2 students. Students who are not selected for the school nomination may self endorse.

     9/15 Gates Scholarship                                                                                                      

    Applicant must be:

    • African-American, American Indian, Asian & Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic
    • Pell-eligible
    • US Citizen, national or permanent resident
    • Have a weighted GPA of 3.3
    • Full cost of attendance is provided to recipients

     9/17 - Park Scholarship @ NC State

    9/17 Lowell L. Bryan Scholarship @ Davidson College

    The Bryan is an award for top scholar athletes, equivalent to full tuition and fees. The scholarship is renewable for the remaining three years of your Davidson career, provided you continue to play your eligible sport, maintain a specified grade point average, and meet requirements toward earning a degree.

    One female and one male scholar athlete in each first-year class are awarded the scholarship.

    If you are interested in attending Davidson College and applying for the Bryan Schoalrship, send Mrs. Dove an email by 9/17 indicating your interest. I will communicate next steps with you. 

    If selected to be your high school's nominee for this scholarship, you will be required to:

    • immediately contact the Davidson College coach of their sport to provide career statistics and player profile information. Coaches' names and contact details can be found at www.davidsonwildcats.com.
    • submit a complete application for admission to Davidson no later than October 15. All forms are available at apply to Davidson(Nominees are strongly encouraged to submit either the Common Application, Coalition Application or Part I of the Davidson application by October 1.)
    • plan to play their sport at Davidson.

     9/30 Levine Scholarship @ UNC Charlotte 

     The program seeks outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate evidence of experience, motivation and commitment toward the ideals of the Levine Scholars Program. Requirements include:

    • Students must be applicants for freshman enrollment at UNC Charlotte in a baccalaureate program for the fall term immediately following their high school graduation. Students must be admitted to UNC Charlotte to receive a Levine Scholarship.
       
    • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
       
    • Students must demonstrate a commitment to community service, hold an academic record that reflects a sustained passion for knowledge, and possess a capacity for ethical leadership that elevates fellow students to a higher standard.
       
    • While there are no minimum SAT, ACT or grade point averages to apply for the Levine Scholarship, students must excel academically. While there are no minimum academic requirements to apply for the Levine Scholarship, students must excel in their intellectual pursuits and show evidence of experience, motivation and commitment toward the ideals of the program. 

     The average and middle-50 percent ranges for our 2020 finalists are below.

    30 - Belk Scholarship  @ Davidson College

    • A candidate’s record and recommendations must demonstrate academic excellence and purposeful engagement in the classroom, in student and civic organizations, on the athletic field, or in the arts. While academic achievement is paramount, Belk Scholars also exhibit intellectual curiosity and a commitment to both their local and global communities. The Belk Scholarship provides comprehensive funding plus special opportunity stipends that allow you great flexibility in the on- and off-campus experiences you choose to explore. Those experiences, paired with our academic programs, deepen your intellect, maturity and global understanding.

    If you are interested in attending Davidson College and applying for the Belk Schoalrship, send Mrs. Dove an email by 9/30 indicating your interest. I will communicate next steps with you. 

    You should apply to Davidson College for admission by December 15.

    Apply to ECU with a 3.5 or higher GPA by Nov. 25 to receive an invitation to apply to their honors college. Each honors college student will receive a scholarship.
