Library News - Battle of the Books

MES participates in the Sampson County Battle of the Books competition. We meet once a week with team members to practice preparing for the competition. We are proud to say that our MES 2014-2015 & 2015-2016 team ranked #1 in the county competition and went on to regionals.

The summer requirements for the 2016-2017 school year are reading the book Johnny Termain and learning all titles and authors for the 16-17 book list. When the new school year begins tryouts will consist of questions from this book as well as a quiz of titles and authors.
