First Day of School

To enroll a child, you must bring the following: The Child's Certified Birth Certificate (This should be a court document, not the mother's copy from the hospital), Immunization Record, and Proof of Address with the parent's name (such as a utility bill or rental contract).

Enrolling Kindergarten students for the 2013-2014 school year should be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2013. Kindergarten students will also need a Kindergarten health assessment before starting school.
At the present time, North Carolina State Law requires a Comprehensive Vision Screening by a health care provider prior to beginning Kindergarten. If your child fails the vision screening the health care provider will refer your child to an opthalmologist or optometrist for a complete vision exam.

North Carolina Pre-K placement is handled through the Sampson County Partnership for Children (910)592-9399.

Please make sure that you send a note to your child's teacher if there is a transportation change. We encourage you not to rely on last minute phone calls to the school.

Please limit phone calls to emergencies.  Each moment is valuable to your child's instructional day.
